How to catch the Octopus

The Octopus only comes out at night (20:00 to 5:00 on the in-game clock). The rest of the day it hides away and won't bite, so check the clock before you cast.

It's a level 3 catch (tricky) with the Slippery fighting style: near green it may flash purple and dodge back: wait for the next pass.

Roughly 1 in 260 fish that spawn in the pond is an Octopus. Worms make fish bite sooner, and rarer fish go for them, so bring some for the hard ones.

Every catch also rolls a random name with a prefix and a suffix, and a rarity tier from Common up to Super Duper Mega Rare, so no two catches are quite the same.
