How to catch the Giant Squid
The Giant Squid only comes out at night (20:00 to 5:00 on the in-game clock), and only when the weather turns to Rain, Thunderstorm or Fog. Any other time it stays hidden and won't bite.
It's a level 5 catch (trophy) with the Brawler fighting style: when it thrashes, land a hit to counter.
Roughly 1 in 500 fish that spawn in the pond is a Giant Squid. Worms make fish bite sooner, and rarer fish go for them, so bring some for the hard ones.
Every catch also rolls a random name with a prefix and a suffix, and a rarity tier from Common up to Super Duper Mega Rare, so no two catches are quite the same.
